Yumiko brings warmth, compassion, flexibility, genuine curiosity, and a splash of humour to all of her sessions. She is committed to creating a relaxed, conversational, and collaborative therapeutic experience where she respects your lived experiences and offers you her expertise to support your goals.

What can I expect at my first session?

Your first session is an opportunity for your therapist to get to know you and answer any questions you might have. Common topics covered include reasons for seeking therapy, previous experiences with therapy, and exploring relationships.

What modalities do you use?

At Leaf & Lantern Psychotherapy, all therapies are trauma-informed and incorporate elements of IFS (Internal Family Systems), ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), and humanistic psychotherapy. Yumiko uses a personalized, integrative combination of these modalities to best honour your therapeutic goals and needs.

Do you offer a sliding scale?

A limited number of sliding scale sessions are available for clients who are experiencing financial hardships. Please connect with Yumiko to discuss your unique situation.

Is therapy covered by insurance?
